Tudor VIP launch puts the spotlight on latest designs

Tudor has teamed up with royal Tunbridge Wells jeweller Burrells for a special VIP launch of its 2016 collection that was attended by motorbike legend Carl Fogarty MBE.

Sven Olsen, UK general manager of Tudor, used the occasion to address customers and discuss the new collection, which includes the Black Bay Bronze. He dubbed it this year’s “biggest surprise” at Baselworld.

Guests admired the brand’s newest range of watches over a glass of Bottega prosecco and were treated to canapés and music before hearing from guest speaker Fogarty.

He shared amusing and insightful tales about a career that saw him become the most successful World Superbike rider of all time.

Customers also had the opportunity to marvel over two impressive Ducati bikes that were there on the night. Tudor and Ducati have had a partnership since 2011.

Edward Ferris, owner of Burrells, said: “It was fantastic to have Carl Fogarty at our Tudor event the – following the success of our last event with Sir Ranulph Fiennes it was wonderful to be able to bring another icon to meet and talk to our customers.”
