Tudor currently has only one boutique in the UK, run by Watches of Switzerland in the Westfield shopping mall in West London, but there are additional Tudor monobrands being rolled out by both Watches of Switzerland Group and Beaverbrooks.

There are around 50 Tudor showrooms around the world, and they are clearly going to be given a leg up with boutique-only watches, the first of which was unveiled today in the form of an all-bronze Black Bay Fifty-Eight.

Tudor has used bronze a number of times for its tool watches, including a Bucherer Blue edition with a dark blue dial.

However, the Black Bay Fifty-Eight revealed today is the first time Tudor has made a watch with an entirely bronze bracelet as well that has a new easily adjustable clasp mechanism.

Given the fact that bronze quickly changes from a soft gold to more industrial colours as darker patinas develop, the watch will become one of the most rugged-looking timepieces in Tudor’s portfolio.

As an alternative to the bronze bracelet, the watch also comes with a brown and bronze fabric strap.

Both the 39mm case and bracelet come in a soft brushed bronze that complement a dial that fades from brown at the outside to bronze at the centre and has the traditional snowflake hands and applied markers filled high visibility Superluminova.

The dial is framed with a brown and bronze unidirectional ceramic bezel.

Inside, Tudor has selected its COSC-certified manufacture Calibre MT5400 with a hairspring in silicon and a 70 hour power reserve.

The Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze is priced at £3,390.
