The first  two-year Trailblazer apprenticeship, planned by the watch servicing industry, will be starting in October.

A new, well equipped, apprentice training school, the Watchmaker Apprentice Training School, has been created to ensure apprentices gain the practical skills and knowledge to service quartz and mechanical watches and refinish cases and bracelets.

For businesses thinking of employing an apprentice, further information is available by e-mailing enquiries@watchmakertraining.com.

Apprentices will benefit from block release training for fourteen weeks. The scheme has been planned so that early training enables the apprentice to quickly become productive and able to contribute to business.

These basic skills are then reinforced in the workplace before progressively extending expertise to include the servicing of quartz and automatic watches.

The End-point Assessment provides an industry-led certificate for the successful apprentice with either a pass or distinction grade.

To find out more about the course and training centre, please email enquiries@watchmakertraining.com.
