Torgoen now official watch of Typhoon Display Team

Torgoen has signed up to become the official watch supplier of the Royal Air Force Typhoon 2012 Display Team.

As part of the sponsorship deal all members of the Royal Air Force Typhoon 2012 Display Team will wear a limited-edition Torgoen T16302 chronograph that has been specially created to celebrate the partnership.

Peter Carmichael, business development director at Torgoen UK distributor Since 1853, said: “Torgoen Swiss was created as an aviation brand, so this tie-up with the Royal Air Force Typhoon Display Team is a perfect fit for us and the fearless attitude of the pilots embodies the brand’s ‘nothing impossible’ strapline.

Carmichael said that interest in Torgoen has been growing in the UK and he feels that the partnership with Royal Air Force Typhoon 2012 Display Team will “play a major role in taking us to the heights that we’re aiming to reach”.

The display team will travel the UK putting on shows throughout the year, and now Torgoen will travel with them. The team will put on 20 shows between now and September at locations including Fairford, Farnborough, Sunderland, Northern Ireland, RAF Waddington and Duxford.

The Royal Air Force Typhoon is one of the world’s most advanced, powerful and manoeuvrable combat aircraft. Powered by two Eurojet EJ200 afterburning turbofan engines, each generating 89 kN of thrust with afterburner, the aircrafts have a maximum speed of Mach 2 at altitude and can climb at 62,000 ft/min.
