The Tonda 1950 Lune, the latest opus in Parmigiani Fleurier’s bestselling Tonda 1950 collection, boasts the signature streamlined aesthetic and ultra-thin movement with micro-rotor, designed, developed and manufactured entirely within the manufacture’s watchmaking centre.
The calibre PF708 with 48-hour power reserve combines an accurate, reliable mechanism and optimum winding within compact dimensions. As is standard practice at Parmigiani Fleurier, it boasts hand-applied finishes and bevelled bridges.
Its lugs are slightly concave, the crown is slightly larger, and the dial is also bold and full of energy.
There is a highly contemporary moon phase with a display showing the two hemispheres, a calibrated scale corresponding to a lunar month of 29 and a half days, and rose gold discs reproducing the lunar cycle on the dial: new moon, first quarter, full moon and last quarter.
The moon phase of this new Tonda 1950 requires correction once every three years.
The black opaline dial, a finish which lends it a smooth, intense sheen, also features a highly visible date in a large aperture at 6 o’clock, a first for this model.
The Tonda 1950 Lune is available with a matt black alligator strap and has a deployant buckle and an adjustment system with five positions to ensure it is comfortable to wear every day.
This watch is priced at £10,300. For any enquiries call Atelier Parmigiani on: 020 7495 5172.
