Patek 5396t children auction

Titanium Patek raises one million CHF for charity

Patek Philippe raised CHF 1 million (£666,313) at the Geneva’s Children Action Charity on Monday night by offering a unique titanium annual calendar for auction.

The funds raised will go towards a Swiss charitable foundation providing medical and psychological aid to children in need.

The Patek Philippe Ref. 5396T is a piece unique with sapphire crystal caseback engraved with Children Action 2015 and satin-finish blue accents on the dial and hands. Watch collectors battled to come out on top.

Patek President Thierry Stern confirmed that Patek Philippe would only be producing watches in titanium for charitable auction when WatchPro travelled to Geneva to interview him at the company’s HQ in 2014.

Patek Philippe has been taking part in the auction since 2007, debuting with a Calatrava 6000T before also offering a 5180T and World Time Ref. 5131J.
