Tissot unveils 2013 MotoGP watch collection

Tissot has unveiled its 2013 MotoGP watch collection, which includes both quartz and mechanical timepieces.

The Swiss watch brand is the official timekeeper of the MotoGP and as such each year releases a dedicated official watch line for the event.

This year’s offering comprises two Tissot T-Race MotoGP Limited Edition 2013 watches. One watch is powered by a quartz movement and limited to 8,888 pieces while the second is a mechanical watch limited to 3,333 watches.

The robust watches take inspiration from motorbikes used in the MotoGP, with some literal interpretations such as the use of a break disc on the dial. The use of blue gives the collection a fresh look for 2013.

The limited-edition watches are presented in a special collectors’ box designed to look like a helmet.

Tissot president François Thiébaud said: “Tissot is proud of its profound link and longstanding partnership of 13 years with MotoGP. The dynamic and fast nature of the sport matches the brand’s spirit perfectly."
