Tiffany watches stolen en route to Bond Street

It has been revealed that a consignment of Tiffany & Co watches were stolen in July as they were being returned from a repairs workshop to the luxury brand’s store on Bond Street in London.

The watches were stolen from a Tiffany & Co delivery vehicle while it was in transit on July 9. The police have not yet been able to track down the watches, which were previously sold timepieces sent for repair by their owners rather than new stock.

A report in The Telegraph claims that the value of the watches stolen runs into several thousands of pounds, but claims that it is unclear as to whether the theft was opportunistic or a planned heist.

A spokeswoman from Tiffany & Co said: “Tiffany is co-operating fully with the local authorities and no further details are available pending the results of the ongoing investigation.”
