The joy of neon is its sheer refusal to go unnoticed and its commitment to stand out from its surroundings.
This look-at-me attitude is why we couldn’t be more excited that this summer neons will unapologetically be the hero hues, making their mark on the likes of bags, sunglasses, tops, shoes and, now, watches. Making the most of the contrast of neon favourites blue, yellow, pink and green on black is the Big Bang Black Fluo from Hublot.
There have been 250 limited edition numbered pieces created in each colour and the colour pop has been given a precious treatment with the black PVD steel case and black dial, set with 430 black diamonds weighing a total of 2.36 carats. Meanwhile, the matching black bezel on the 41mm case is set with 36 brilliant cut precious stones – blue sapphires, yellow sapphires, pink sapphires and tsavorites. Within this striking neon dazzler is the HUB4300 automatic chronograph movement. It’s a blend of brains and beauty that definitely caught our attention.
