The Blue Company takes on Briston distribution

UK watch distributor The Blue Company has added French lifestyle brand Briston Watches to its portfolio.

Monica Porracin’s company, which already counts Junghans and Mühle Glashutte in its stable, was attracted to the accessible entry level price point of Briston (£115 to £275) and the distinctive cambered square shape of the timepieces.

The brand is the brainchild of Brice Jaunet, who has more than 15 years of experience in the watch industry, including with Richemont Group, Raymond Weil and LVMH. Founding Briston in 2012, Jaunet hopes to draw on his expertise and experience to create a winning partnership with The Blue Company.

Technically, Briston utilises a Japanese movement and uses different raw materials – steel or acetate of cellulose – taken from the eye-wear industry. The addition of nato straps serves to reinforce the vintage aesthetic that the brand is aiming to achieve.
