There is almost as much buzz building about the venue for November’s WATCHRPO SALON as there is for the event itself.
A week after the London Evening Standard splashed with news about the opening of The Londoner hotel on Leicester Square opening, luxury consultancy Walpole has created a video ‘love letter’ to the property.
“The golden age of the grand hotel is returning,” Walpole says in an introduction to the video.
“A project in the heart of London’s West End is seeking to embody the creative spirit of the area, collaborating with artists and creators in a hotel that will reflect the vibrancy and bright lights of the city it sits in when it opens in September 2021.”
WATCHRPO SALON takes place on November 12 and 13 at the 350-room ultra-lux The Londoner hotel, described by the Evening Standard as “London’s biggest hospitality launch since the start of the pandemic”.
The Londoner hotel has confirmed that the 16-storey hotel, where rooms start at £400 per night, will press ahead with the opening in a major boost for the West End.
It is described as an “iceberg” hotel, because it has a six level basement, one of the deepest in the world. Three of those basement levels will be used for WATCHPRO SALON, which makes it highly secure for the prestige watch brands exhibiting, and a new level of luxury.
The Londoner has six restaurants and bars, a cinema, 25-metre pool and a 6,000 square foot ballroom, which will be the main event space for WATCHPRO SALON.

The two-day event takes place from November 12 to 13 at The Londoner, a brand new 5-star hotel on London’s Leicester Square.
