Luxury tool watches continue to dominate the commercial end of the market, and TAG Heuer has a fresh offer in the form of a 300 metre water resistant Aquaracer Professional 300.
There are eight references in the beefed up dive watch collection, all using TAG Heuer’s automatic Calibre 5 to drive hours, minutes and seconds hands and a date at 6 o’clock.
They have closed case backs with a deep sea diver’s helmet motif.
Frédéric Arnault, TAG Heuer CEO, says the collection is important for the brand in the hyper-competitive luxury steel sports watch category.
“TAG Heuer has been making bold, high-performance, stylish, luxury tool watches for more than four decades. The Aquaracer Professional 300 picks up a much-loved story and moves it on with the most significant step we’ve taken to develop our Aquaracer collection in many years. Pushing the limits, high functionality, a bold and unmistakable aesthetic, and the promise of going with you, even to the extremes – the Aquaracer Professional 300 is a watch that will take you beyond the edge. This is, after all, the place where we truly find ourselves,” he says.
TAG Heuer has designed the watch in two sized: 43mm or 36mm; and two out of the eight references are made from titanium rather than the steel of the other six.
Dials have horizontal grooves and come in blue, black, green, silver and white with matching or contrasting octagonal ceramic bezels in blue, black, green or black.
Steel on steel 43mm models will go on sale in June priced at £2,500; the titanium piece is £3,500.
In the 36mm range, also on sale from June, they will cost £2,350 for the steel and £2,750 for titanium.
