TAG Heuer has revealed its latest special edition in cooperation with Formula 1’s youngest ever Grand Prix winner, Max Verstappen.
The brand’s latest special edition for the Aston Martin Red Bull Racing team driver was unveiled to around 150 invited guests and the local public at the Majestic in the heart of Amsterdam.
The fourth collaboration between TAG Heuer and Verstappen is an automatic chronograph limited to 333 pieces and now available exclusively in the Netherlands for €3,100.
The launch was attended by friends of the watch brand, fans of the young racing driver, media representatives, jewellers and public figures.
This included active racing driver colleagues Tom Coronel, Loek Hartog, Rob Kamphues, Giedo van der Garde and Prince Bernhard of Orange-Nassau, van Vollenhoven, racing driver and owner of the Formula 1 racetrack in Zandvoort.
The new timepiece was personally brought to the event hosted by TV celebrity and social media influencer Shelly Sterk by Max Verstappen in a special Aston Martin DBS Superleggera.
Following the launch of three successful Max Verstappen special editions in 2016, 2017 and 2018, all equipped with a high-quality Swiss quartz movement, TAG Heuer decided to continue its successful collaboration with the driver.
Verstappen met with the TAG Heuer design team to exchange visions for the new watch.
He said: “I’m really pleased with how this latest edition has turned out, to me it looks great. I’m really happy that TAG Heuer included the automatic movement as it feels like, as we say in Formula One, a good step forward! It is a sporty looking watch, which I like, and I think you can wear it on any occasion, which is important and something I always look for in a watch. I hope the fans like the new design as much as I do.”
