Tag heuer drivers club pass

TAG Heuer reveals Goodwood driver’s pass design

TAG Heuer has unveiled an exclusive Drivers Club Pass it will have made for next month’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The Swiss watch maker signed a three year deal to become Official Timing Partner of the famed motoring spectacle as well as hold the naming rights to the TAG Heuer Drivers Club back in March.

The new pass has been designed by TAG Heuer’s lead designer Christoph Behling and will be limited to 1,500. It will be made by a Royal Warrant holding jeweller based in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter which also makes medals for the British Armed Forces and those awards to recipients of the OBE.

Behling’s design aims to reflect TAG Heuer’s racing heritage and particularly its involvement with the Ferrari F1 team in the 1970s and later, with McLaren, taking inspiration from a vintage Heuer 1/10th of a second stopwatch and by the dial of the iconic Carrera chronograph.

A special example, engraved ‘Lord March’, will be given by TAG Heuer to the event’s architect and host, Charles March, the Earl of March.

The Drivers Club Pass is the most exclusive at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, granting access to the event’s inner sanctum, where drivers past and present mix with high profile guests away from the thrum of the main event.

Behling said: ‘We decided to make a pass in the shape of a Heuer stopwatch to honour and celebrate TAG Heuer’s racing heritage. For more than four decades, the company has had an integral involvement in the world’s most famous motorsport events, and partnered with its biggest names – the design brings all of that to life in what we believe will be a unique, highly collectable Festival of Speed pass.”

The Goodwood Festival of Speed takes place from June 26-29 on the Goodwood Estate, near Chichester in West Sussex.
