TAG Heuer redesigns Carrera chronograph to celebrate brand’s 160th anniversary

The brand has released four reinventions of the racing watch Carrera, featuring 44 mm stainless steel cases with alternating polished and fine-brushed finishes.

Swiss brand TAG Heuer has announced the redesign and relaunch of its racing watch, the Carrera, in celebration of the company’s 160th anniversary.

TAG Heuer celebrations began earlier in the year with the release of the Carrera 160 Years Silver and Montreal Limited Editions.

Next come four reinventions of the Carrera, the brand’s sporty chronograph, featuring 44 mm stainless steel cases with alternating polished and fine-brushed finishes.

The dial of the new Carrera has a circular brushed finish and is available in deep blue with a matching ceramic bezel, muted olive green with a stainless-steel bezel, or one of two black versions, each with a black ceramic bezel.

The new watch, a reimagining of the 1963 original Carrera, comes with a transparent case back and an 80-hour power reserve.

Continuing its anniversary celebrations, the brand will also reveal four additional watches in September, with two more special additions expected later in the year.
