TAG Heuer has opened a new 450sq ft standalone boutique in Bangalore, India, in a move which will increase its brand presence in the country as the country’s desire for luxury brands continues to rise.
The store will is housed in the Phoenix Market City complex on Whitefield Road in Bangalore, and will showcase watches from across the brand’s repertoire.
Shahnawaz Khan, TAG’s regional sales director in South Asia, said of the opening: “The city has a huge potential for us due to its developed areas.
“The Whitefield area has a lot of expatriates and IT sector employees which together provide a good catchment area for our store.”
TAG Heuer’s president and chief executive Jean-Christophe Babin was present at the store opening, where the brand also launched its new Carrera Monaco Grand Prix limited edition timepiece.
The new mall space is said to have cost the brand 2.5 crore (about £300,000) to open.
