Swarovski signs global licensing deal to make and distribute Karl Lagerfeld watches

First collections for men and women under the agreement will go on sale for the autumn/winter season.

Swarovski has started making watches and jewellery under a global license agreement with Karl Lagerfeld, the legendary Chanel creative director who died earlier this year.

The autumn/winter lines combine the aesthetics of the designer’s Parisian classics with a rock-chic attitude.

Styles for men and women are made from stainless steel with a mix of gold, rose gold and gunmetal plating, while key colours include black and gold.

It is the first collection of Karl Lagerfeld watches launching through the brand’s global license agreement with Swarovski, and will go on sale later this year At Karl Lagerfeld stores, Karl.com and retail partners throughout the world.

Prices will range from €99 to €219.

Women’s watches commonly use Swarovski crystals, mother of pearl details, pyramid studs and playful graphics.

Men’s watches typically have a more neutral palette and often use black IP plating.
