Surf’s up for G-SHOCK G-LIDE watches

The company said that the GBX100 watches display all the information a surfer needs, such as high and low tide times and levels.

Casio is looking to bolster its collection of surfing watches with three new additions to the G-SHOCK G-LIDE range.

The company said that the GBX100 watches display all the information a surfer needs, such as high and low tide times and levels.

It also makes use of the new G-SHOCK Move App, linking with the wearer’s smartphone and offering a number of traditional smartwatch functions.

These allow the user to measure the number of steps taken each day, as well as setting a training plan to help wearers stick to their goals.

The traditional G-SHOCK octagonal case comes with a blue, gray or white band and is water-resistant up to 200m.

The ‘Memory in Pixel’ LCD display further offers information such as a tide graph and moon data, also promising improved visibility.

Meanwhile, the company said that the metal double-layered bezel is made to withstand impacts with rocks.
