Sunday start increases London Watch Show turnout

Day one of the 2014 London Watch Show ended with industry professionals declaring the switch to a Sunday start a significant success.

Day one visitor numbers were up 17% compared to last year, despite competition from the Wimbledon men’s singles final and the British Grand Prix.

The WatchPro Hot 100 party, which takes place on the evening of the first day, is giving the watch community an additional reason to head into London, with over 450 guests due to arrive at the spectacular One Mayfair venue for a night of live entertainment and the reveal of who has made this year’s Hot 100 list.

“Watch professionals are never short of places to be and people to see, so we are delighted that they now view the London Watch Show and WatchPro Hot 100 as valuable to their busy lives,” says Daniel Malins, event director for the London Watch Show.

Day two of the London Watch Show kicks off at 9am on Monday with a breakfast for trade and consumer journalists. The exhibition is also open to visitors from 9am-6pm at Freemasons’ Hall in London’s Covent Garden. Registration can be completed at the door.
