Shinola and Disney Corporation have created a limited edition 18ct gold Mickey Mouse watch that will be sold exclusively on the StockX platform.
StockX is an US-based online auction site where items being bought and sold have their transaction prices tracked and converted into what is, effectively, a stock market for products; rising demand increases prices and falling demand sees prices drop.
It started life selling limited edition sneakers, but has expanded into a secondary market for luxury watches and handbags.
The Shinola Limited Edition Pie-Eyed Mickey Runwell 41mm in 18ct will be available exclusively on StockX from December 11.
It is being sold with a “How to Draw Mickey” sketchbook and a framed serigraph of the famous character signed by Disney artist Jeff Shelly with a certificate of authenticity.
