It was back in January 2016 that Tissot announced a five-year sponsorship deal with the Tour de France, the biggest cycling event in the world.
This was a serious statement of intent from the Swatch Group brand, which it has backed up with quality product launches that appeal to ardent cycling fans.
The sporty T-Race Cycling Tour de France Collection has, understandably, a number of nods and winks towards the race itself, not least the yellow trim that adorns the dial and strap, which is reminiscent of the race champion’s famous yellow jersey.
The black part of the strap looks like a bike’s tyre tread, as does the outside of the crown.
A final sprinkle of exclusivity on this quartz chronograph is the engraved Tour de France logo on the case back.
