Smash and grab gang hit Mayfair boutique that opened three weeks ago

Mayfair’s latest luxury watch boutique has been open just three weeks but was this morning targeted by a smash and grab gang who escaped with thousands of pounds worth of stock.

Police were called to Time Machine, in Avery Row, shortly after 10.15 this morning following the raid which saw four raiders arrive at the scene on two mopeds.

Also armed with knives, the gang smashed their way into the store using axes and hammers before breaking into display cases and making off with watches.

Police confirmed that one person was arrested following the robbery and an investigation in ongoing.

Time Machine opened on December 14.
