Skagen hagen connected

Skagen’s Hagen brings handsome looks to smartwatches

Danish watch brand Skagen will unveil its first smartwatch next month, nattily titled the Skagen Hagen Connected.

Due for release at the IFA technology show in September, the brand has dubbed the Hagen Connected a “hybrid smartwatch”, owing to its analogue dial and classic, understated Skagen styling.

With RRPs already listed from US$195, the Hagen Connected watch will be available with Skagen’s signature milanese mesh strap, or a choice of brown, black and tan leather straps, or silicone options.

Under its hood, the Hagen Connected utilises Misfit technology to track running, walking and other activities, and will offer standard and customisable smartphone notifications.

The watch also lets the wearer take photos and control their smartphone music, and automatically updates in new timezones, with a dual-time option.

The watch is understood to run on a standard coin cell battery, meaning it won’t require charging like other smartwatches on the market.

Alongside the Hagen Connected, the brand is also set to unveil its Connected Activity Tracker at the IFA show, which will monitor the wearer’s sleep and track their activity.
