SIHH opens with launch party

This year’s Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) exhibition in Geneva kicked off yesterday with a party for exhibitors, retailers, journalists and more.

SIHH president Fabienne Lupo was joined by esteemed guests, including the 35 exhibitors’ CEOs, at the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices on the banks of the Rhone.

As the first significant watch exhibition in the calendar year, the global watch industry will be using SIHH as a barometer for what trends and designs will shape the horological market this year.

Notable features of this year’s exhibition include an open day for members of the public, as well as a larger number of exhibitors, including six new arrivals, as the show opens itself up to more and more brands outside of Richemont.

The show’s organisers are expecting 20,000 visitors to SIHH over its five full days (15-19 January).
