Shinola announced in the Spring that it had started producing a mechanical automatic version of its signature Runwell collection using imported Swiss Sellita movements in watches assembled in Detroit.
Now the watches have landed, with prices ranging from £905 to £995.
They come in 39.5mm or 45mm cases with domed sapphire crystal front and back. The back has a small portal giving a glimpse at the Selita SW200-1’s oscillator.
Shinola says it has been working on incorporating automatic movements into its Runwell family ever since they launched in 2013.
“This is definitely an evolutionary moment for us,” a spokesperson says.
