Seiko launches first US boutique on Madison Avenue

Seiko has opened its first boutique in the US on New York City’s prestigious Madison Avenue.

Shinji Hattori, Seiko Watch Corporation president and chief executive officer, hosted a celebration in the city attended by 150 VIP guests including Seiko brand ambassador Novak Djokovic.

Seiko has set up among the world’s top luxury brands with a ‘modern yet sophisticated’ boutique focusing on Seiko’s high end collections including Astron and Grand Seiko as well as introducing the US to its Galante and Credor brands. The store is also home to a number of boutique exclusives from Prospex.

Hattori commented: “The opening of the US market’s first boutique in New York City is achieving a passionate goal of mine. Seiko has been seeking the most ideal timing and location to spotlight our product, catering to our affordable luxury timepieces, including Grand Seiko and Astron. Opening a boutique in a market such as New York City does just that, following standards from Seiko boutiques in Paris, Amsterdam, Hong Kong and Cairo as well as the Wako luxury specialty store in Tokyo.”
