SalonQP promises a number of exclusives at November collector’s showpiece

SalonQQ, which runs for three days from November 3-5 at London’s Saatchi Gallery, is set to be a watch collector’s dream event with showcases from new and historic brands and a number of significant horological anniversaries.

Visitors to the exhibition will witness 20th anniversary celebrations of Copard’s L.U.C manufacture timepieces alongside executives from Montblanc enjoying the 110th year for the brand.

Topping them both for longevity is Girard-Perregaux, which is marking its 225th year with a presentation at SalonQP of its Place Girardet collection of 225 unique timepieces and the new edition of the Laureato, also limited to 225 pieces worldwide.

“Girard-Perregaux is pleased to expose 225 years of watchmaking expertise at the SalonQP, firmly established as one of the key events in the luxury watch industry calendar,” says Antonio Calce CEO of Girard-Perregaux.

Alongside these historic brands will be three companies presenting at QP for the very first time.

Fears Watch Company, a business created in Bristol 170 years ago, closed down in 1956 when decedents of its founders shut up shop. Now a new generation of the family is resurrecting the brand and will show its debut collection at SalonQP.

JR Bespoke Timepieces, a Canterbury-based jeweller, has spent two years fusing his signature Octagon geometry with a bespoke watchmaking concept. The Octavo is a sophisticated range of bold, innovative 18ct gold and platinum watches in a distinctive octagonal case, for men and women.

Each timepiece is fitted with a choice of the finest Swiss movements. The watches are made using a unique combination of modern technology and traditional goldsmithing. Each component is cast, hand fitted and finished, the crowns diamond set, the multi-layer silver and palladium dials engraved, all in the Canterbury workshop.

Spain is represented by Atelier de Chronométrie from Barcelona, which will be showing its first designs, created without the support of modern technology in favour of traditional watchmaking techniques.

Every Atelier de Chronométrie wristwatch is made to measure at the buyer´s request. Customers can choose from unlimited options for the case, the dial and the movement. Each wristwatch is a one-off piece, designed exclusively and never repeated again.

Atelier de Chronométrie will exhibit at SalonQP 2016 its first creations : the AdC#1, an Observatoire chronometer and the AdC#2, an indirect sweep center seconds wristwatch.
