Rox hosts Capital FM radio broadcast during Fringe

Rox is set to host four live Capital FM radio broadcasts from its Edinburgh store as part of the current Edinburgh Festival.

Radio DJs Des and Jennie will take over the "drive time" slot for first time tonight for the live radio broadcast, held as the annual Edinburgh Festival reaches its midway point.

Des and Jennie typically host the radio station’s Scottish breakfast show but are moving to the drive time slow for one week only. Their show will go live from Rox’s store from today through to August 16, offering listeners and customers a chance to meet the presenters.
Rox is also set to host a party for its VIP customers in partnership with Capital FM. The event will take place at its Thrill Room to help raise money for the Help a Capital Child charity. The event will include live stand up acts from a number of Scottish comedians with further sponsorship from Laurent-Perrier, Aperol Spritze, Sloanes Gin and EH2 Tempus.

Rox managing director Kyron Keogh said: “George Street is absolutely buzzing at the moment and we wanted to bring something extra to the Festival atmosphere. We’ve already seen a dramatic increase in footfall during the Festival with the world famous Spiegaltent right on our doorstep and expect this exciting collaboration will give it a further boost.

“We can’t wait to welcome Des and Jennie to Rox Edinburgh and be a part of something really special as they take over the Drive Time show for the first time.”
