There can have been few happier moments than when Hublot unveiled an Art of Fusion timepiece in tartan to the co-founders of Rox, Scotland’s largest partner for the brand.
The watches, which are part of Hublot’s Classic Fusion Italia Independent collection, feature a tartan created by the Italian tailor Rubinacci across the dial and strap.
There are six watches in the range, featuring tweeds in houndstooth, tartan, and Prince of Wales patterns.
They were created by a collaboration between Hublot, design company Italia Independent, and legendary Naples tailor Rubinacci, which designed the textiles.
“A stand out piece from the Classic Fusion Italia Independent collection is this tartan treat (pictured above),” says Rox.
“Just one of 50 limited edition timepieces, we believe the tartan fabric of this design captures the true essence of both Scottish spirit and style. Not a design for the wallflowers among us, it is a chronograph like no other. Featuring the Tartan Rubinacci strap and dial, the 45mm watch cuts a sporty figure on the wrist whilst remaining fashion forward. The black ceramic case with satin polish and finish frame the vivid fabric whilst staying true to Hublot’s undeniable look,” the retailer adds.
