Rotary goes globetrotting as Henley collection gets a World Timer

Rotary has released a World Timer in its Henley line of watches.

The Henley World Timer accomplishes a similar task to the GMT or dual time zone; as it shows the wearer a time zone in an area of the world other than home.

The difference is that whereas the GMT can only monitor one other selected time zone, the world timer shows the time for the main 24 time zones at once.

It features an aluminium, bi-directional bezel displaying 24 world cities, each representing a different time zone. Next to this is a 24-hour inner ring that makes one full revolution a day.

The user can set the time-zone bezel to align their home time zone with the correct hour of the day on the 24-hour bezel.

As time passes, the 24-hour bezel or hand rotates. The point where the 24-hour bezel lines up with the time zone you’re looking for shows you the hour of the day.

The Henley World Timer is powered by a quartz Miyota 2315 movement, and features a matte coloured dial in either green, blue or black.

Applied indexes and hands with luminosity are shielded by scratch resistant Sapphire glass.

This statement timepiece has a case dimension of 41mm, screw down crown, slick 3 link bracelet and is 100 m water resistant.

The four iterations within the family come in stainless steel, gold PVD two-tone, and rose gold PVD two-tone.

The brand flourished on the continent and its blossoming influence in horology provided a unique opportunity – in the early 20th Century, Rotary moved to London and began infusing its DNA with British culture, which remains an iconic staple in its design ethos today.

Rotary watch families are named after iconic British locations and now, the brand runs operations from the creative district Clerkenwell in London, a nucleus of international innovation.
