Romain Jerome pays tribute to Tetris video game

RJ-Romain Jerome has a history of watch tributes to famous groundbreaking video games including Pac Man and Space Invaders but has now tackled perhaps the most played game of all time, Tetris.

Limited to just 84 pieces worldwide, the 46mm Tetris-DNA reproduces the coloured blocks of the famous puzzle game on its dial in celebration of its 31st anniversary.

Manuel Emch, chief executive officer of RJ Watches, said: “It made sense for me to collaborate with Tetris as it’s one of the greatest games of all time. I remember playing on my Game Boy first generation for hours as my addiction grew stronger with time. It’s an honour for me to immortalize this game in an RJ-Romain Jerome watch and share my passion with our collectors and fans.

Each coloured block, or Tetrimino, has been created in anodized aluminium using four Clou de Paris pyramids and is than individually gem-set in place on the hand-brushed dial.

A custom-made Tetris medallion is also set in the caseback of the black PVD-coated titanium case displaying the watch’s individual number. The watch is secured on a black rubber strap and the case features adjustable lugs.
