Romain Jerome channels Dark Knight DNA

RJ-Romain Jerome has crafted this sombre watch homage to Batman on the occasion of the Caped Crusader’s 75th anniversary.

With the release of the RJ-Romain Jerome Batman-DNA, the Dark Knight must be competing with Mickey Mouse as the most popular character to grace watch dials over the years.

The watch, created in conjunction with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, represents the larger-than-life brand’s first foray into super hero models.

Manuel Emch, chief executive officer of Romain Jerome, said: “I have always been a fan of Batman, his mysterious character and double identity is an inexhaustible source of inspiration. He represents a duality between good and evil in a contemporary world.”

The 46mm black PVD-treated steel case and bezel has been machined with facets to represent those of the batmobile while the dial features a black lacquered Batman emblem, set onto a black Super-LumiNova background which shines blue in low light emphasising the iconic design. The watch is finished with a black hornback crocodile strap. The caseback on each of the 75 timepieces being created is also engraved with the Batman emblem.
