Chiswick Auctions’ pre-Christmas watch sale has been hailed a success with a number of Rolexes going under the hammer on December 3.
In a live online sales format, Chiswick Auctions said that it was “thrilled” to host the sale despite a turbulent year.
A Rolex Oyster Perpetual, lot 286, was the star of the show as it fetched £36,250.
Chiswick Auctions went on to say how the auction should build on the success of auctions in Geneva which saw the world record set for the most expensive watch sold to an internet bidder.
Prior to the sale, the auctioneers detailed how a soar in demand for vintage watches as investment pieces are also strong indicators that the watch industry is on a high.
