Rolex refreshes marketing and communications team as Chelsea Headicar departs

17-year veteran departs to work on ‘altruistic adventures’ starting with a voluntary project in South East Asia.

Press presentations by Rolex at Baselworld next year will lack the soothing style of Chelsea Headicar, who is leaving the company’s UK team after 17 years at the business.

Ms Headicar joined the business in 2001 as a receptionist before working her way up to the advertising and PR manager role she has held for the past 7 years.

Her responsibilities in advertising and PR will be taken on by Claudia Smith, who has been in the PR business for 10 years, most recently at Swatch Group where she has managed communications for Swatch and Flik Flak.

Lauren Booth has also joined the PR and advertising team working across Rolex and Tudor on all marketing and communications. Ms Booth joins from Bulova, her first role in the watch industry, where she was marketing assistant.

In a message to journalists, Lisa Cross, Rolex’s head of marketing and communications says: “I’d like to acknowledge the wonderful work that Chelsea has done for the company and I know you’ll join me in wishing her well in her new endeavours.”
