RJC announces re-certification of Montblanc

The Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) has today announced that Montblanc has achieved certification against the 2013 Code of Practices (COP).

Catherine Sproule, the standards and certification organisation’s chief operations officer, was very happy with the news. “We are thrilled to see members achieving re-certifications against the standard and warmly congratulate Montblanc,” she said.

The luxury pen and watch brand was understandably over the moon with the certification. “Montblanc has been a proud member of the RJC since 2012 and is honoured to have achieved re–certification,” said Montblanc’s CEO, Jérôme Lambert. “This important accomplishment confirms our company’s commitment to ethical principles and a sustainable development, which is an essential aspect of Montblanc’s corporate identity. We are looking forward to continue promoting a transparent, ethical, responsible and sustainable way of conducting business in the future, “ Lambert concluded.

This is a positive development for the RJC, on the back of the news earlier this week that it has appointed a new executive director, Andrew Bone, as part of the organisation’s ongoing management restructure.
