Richemont promotes Emmanuel Perrin to new role as head of specialist watchmakers’ distribution

Cartier’s international sales director Emmanuel Perrin has been appointed as head of specialist watchmakers’ distribution at Richemont.

The newly created position will see him take responsibility for for the coordination of distribution strategies across the luxury group. The extended remit also means Mr Perrin will join the senior executive committee immediately.

Another promotion within the executive leadership of Richemont sees Montblanc’s former chief executive Jérôme Lambert take on the newly created role of chief operating officer for the group.

Mr Lambert will be responsible for all maisons other than Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels in addition to his current responsibilities for the Richemont regional support platforms and central support services, excluding finance, human resources and technology.

Commenting on the changes, Richemont chairman Johann Rupert said: “The changes announced today will continue our transformation of the specialist watchmakers’ business models to meet the demands of today’s environment.

“Mr Perrin, in his twenty-five years with the Group, has been successful with Van Cleef & Arpels and, most recently, Cartier, in developing partnerships with our wholesale partners. A prime area of focus will be matching supply with end customer demand.”
