Richard Mille appeals to your inner child with Bonbon collection

I sense the influence of Amanda Mille-Bey, Mr Richard Mille’s daughter who lives full time in Dubai these days, in the design of the Bonbon collection of sweety-inspired timepieces.

Either that or Willy Wonka’s Umpa Lumpas have taken over creative direction at the brand.

There are 10 watches for 2019 divided into Grande and Petite Bonbon families.

The entire range features classic sweets from our childhood such as lollipops, marshmallows and liquorice.

The work required to create these tiny sweets using hand painted, coloured fired ceramics is remarkable, with the amount of work reflected in the prices that range from £113,500 to over £140,000.

The unorthodox designs may be a little too much for British tastes, but customers in the shopping Mecca of Dubai will be gobbling up these fruity treats.
