Jaeger-LeCoultre has honoured the winners of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Gold Cup with four personalised Reverso watches.
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Gold Cup is played to decide the British Open Polo Championship and is the premier polo tournament in the world.
Jaeger-Le-Coultre’s association with the sport stretches back 86 years, when the Reverso was created to withstand a game of polo.Â
For 2017, the brand has added new facia colours to the range – electric blue, tiger’s eye and green marble – each accenting the sport’s crisp polo whites.
Consumers can select customisable dials, straps and buckles, which can be created on both mobile and iPad platforms.Â
The Reverso watch began when a British army officer, who had broken the glass of his watch during a polo match in India, raised the challenge to create a model sufficiently robust to survive a polo match unscathed.
This challenge, successfully accomplished by Jaeger-LeCoultre, led to the creation of the Reverso watch with a swivelling case to protect the dial.
