Retailers flock to register for London Watch Show

A surge in UK retailers registering for the London Watch Show suggest the untapped demand from retailers wishing to see the latest collections launched by major watch brands at a dedicated UK show.

Analysis of the registrations to date suggest that the debut London Watch Show is attracting not only owners of independent shops, but also store managers from major multiples and senior buyers from major e-tail sites, TV shopping channels and department stores.

Daniel Malins, event director for the London Watch Show: “I think the industry has underestimated how many people are passionate about selling watches in this country."

Rachael Taylor, editor-in-chief of WatchPro, which is an official media partner of the exhibition, said: “Every day we speak to brands that understand the value of highly motivated staff selling their watches up and down the country. The overwhelming majority of these sales professionals have never had the opportunity to see new brands being launched in Switzerland, and it appears they are keen to see what’s new and learn more about the brands they sell through attending the London Watch Show."

The London Watch Show takes place at Freemasons’ Hall in London’s Covent Garden on July 2-3. Attendance is strictly limited to trade professionals and media.
