Reservoir’s Hydrosphere Blackfin nominated for Grand Prix de L’Horlogerie de Genève 2019

The watch has been shortlisted in the category “Diver’s” along with watches from De Bethune, Longines, Ressence, Seiko and Ulysse Nardin.

Reservoir has announced that its Hydrosphere Blackfin watch has been nominated at the Grand Prix de L’Horlogerie de Genève 2019.

The watch has been shortlisted in the category “Diver’s” along with watches from De Bethune, Longines, Ressence, Seiko and Ulysse Nardin.

The company claims the watch was inspired by the pressure gauges of the first divers, and that it changes diving watch conventions with a single needle on the dial for a “radical reading of the time.”

The watch has a 45mm, 316L stainless steel case with satin finish, a black dial and self-winding mechanical movement.

It comes equipped with anti-reflective sapphire crystal, an unidirectional, ceramic rotating bezel with double scale for reading the time at different diving depths before and after the retrograde minute hand’s return, and a helium valve.

It retails at $4,695, VAT included, while an additional rubber strap is also included.

Since 2001, The Grand Prix de l’Horlogerie de Genève has been a prestigious annual event rewarding the most beautiful creations of the year.
