Reservoir appoints Alan Stone-Wigg to head international expansion

Mr Stone-Wigg has over 25 years’ experience in the watch business including establishing Fossil Group and Sequel in the UK.

French watchmaker Reservoir has appointed a brand director for the UK with a remit to strengthen its retail network in this country and around the world.

Alan Stone-Wigg has taken the role and brings over 25 years’ experience in the watch business including establishing Fossil Group in the UK; launching Sequel UK, the company responsible for the distribution of the Guess watch and jewellery business in the UK and later headed up the global manufacture and distribution of Guess’s Swiss brand, Guess Collection.

More recently he was global president of Timex in the USA before moving back to the UK to set up his own consultancy.

“I’m extremely excited about the [Reservoir] brand, the clever complication they have developed and the commercial point of difference in the market. I also appreciate the long term strategy the founder and CEO, François Moreau is committed to; a globally tight distribution strategy, creating synergies with the right partners and retailers that understand the brand and want to give their customers and watch collectors something unique.”

François Moreau, CEO and founder adds: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Alan Stone-Wigg across the UK and international markets. Alan brings a significant amount of experience and expertise to Reservoir and understands the ‘out of the box’ thinking we are looking for to really help drive the brand forward. I look forward to working closely with him and building on the success in the UK.”

Reservoir, which was founded in 2017, is currently distributed to 20 countries and sold in 70 stores.
