Registration opens for London Watch Show 2014

Registration opened today for next year’s London Watch Show (click here to register).

The 2014 exhibition, which takes place on July 6-7, will once again be held at the stunning Freemasons’ Hall in the heart of London’s Covent Garden.

A reconfiguration of the way the Hall is used will allow for 25% more exhibition stands, without losing popular elements of the exhibition including the programme of seminars from industry experts.

“London Watch Show will allow retailers and the UK media to see more watch brands under one roof than ever before,” promised event director Daniel Malins.

London Watch Show is a vital showcase for watch professionals to see 2014 collections for the first time in the UK. At the 2013 exhibition in July, several completely new British watch brands, including Eliot Brown, OWL Watches and Axion were revealed to the press and the industry for the first time, while venerable British brand Accurist unveiled a complete rebrand for the company and its watches.

Other exhibitors unveiled watch collections that had previously only been shown overseas as prototypes.

“Many of the brands exhibiting in 2014 are planning their annual UK launches around the London Watch Show in 2014. Press days and retailer days are either being held at the exhibition, or alongside it because they know everybody will be in London for those two days,” explained Malins.

London Watch Show is carefully timed in early July as retailers make their final buying decisions for the watch collections they will be promoting in the crucial pre-Christmas period. It is also the month when the major glossy monthly magazines start compiling their pre-Christmas editions packed with gift guides featuring watches.

“The press day was a huge success in 2013, with over 50 journalists from television, magazines, newspapers, popular blogs and web sites attending a private tour of the exhibition. Exhibitors had the opportunity to strengthen relationships with these journalists that are paying off right now,” said Malins.
