Redd Retail Group was not short of volunteers for one of its latest projects when it received a call from Seiko for an installation at Joe’s Jewelry in Philipsburg, the main town on the Caribbean island of St. Maarten.
Joe’s Jewelry shares a style with many global jewellers, with a combination of cabinets for jewellery and watches from the likes of Rado, Hamilton and Tissot at its three stores on St. Maarten and the nearby island of St Thomas.
Redd Retail was called in to consult on the latest shop-in-shop concepts for Seiko, which had been designed and developed by Redd with the watch brand in 2018.
After presenting ideas for the stores, the teams in the UK, USA, and China moved into the development and manufacture phase for all the furniture with project managers from the UK visiting the Chinese factory to add the finishing touches.
The Redd team flew into St. Maarten to oversee the installations into two Joe’s Jewelry stores.
Both stores, which were installed on the same day, were fitted with large Seiko wall bays positioned behind two glass showcases.
The eye-catching black zebra wood wall bays featured large Prospex fabric lightbox graphics, TV screens, and illuminated Seiko logos whilst the showcases used stainless steel edging, illuminated frames and logos, and satin white inners to showcase the brands range of watches.
