Raymond Weil backs Mayor of London’s music awards

Raymond Weil is furthering its involvement with the music world by supporting the Mayor of London’s inaugural London Music Awards.

The Swiss watch manufacturer has signed up as Title Partner to the awards, which take place at the Roundhouse in Camden tonight and have been created by the Mayor’s Music Fund.

Hosted by Mayor Boris Johnson himself, the glittering event is designed to recognize the achievements of London’s aspiring young musicians, its rising stars and legendary performers.

Live acts set to perform tonight include Soul II Soul, Jermain Jackman, BRIT School musician Natalie Shay, singer-song writer Kimberly Anne and Laura Bettinson while the show will be compared by Classic FM’s Margherita Taylor and Channel 4’s Jon Snow.

Elie Bernheim, Raymond Weil’s chief executive officer, commented on the partnership, saying: "We are thrilled to play such as integral role in the London Music Awards given our association with the music industry at all levels, and especially to be able to continue to find and develop new talent. The London Music Awards offer Raymond Weil a significant opportunity to help the Mayor’s Music Fund to raise much-needed financial support for the thousands of young children in their journey to become the next generation of trained and skilled musicians, who will maintain London’s status as the music capital of the world for years to come."

The London Music Awards is the latest addition to Raymond Weil’s music-inspired marketing strategy and will become a significant part of the brand’s activity from June.
