Ralph Lauren reveals Art Deco inspired stainless steel collection

Ralph Lauren has revealed a range of stainless steel timepieces that will go on sale at its own boutiques and independent jewellers across the world.

There are four additions to Ralph Lauren’s 867 timepiece collection that the company says interpret the elegance of the Art Deco era into polished, pragmatic designs for how men live today.

“Though the collections I create may be inspired by dreams, they are for real life — for all kinds of living,” Mr. Lauren says.

The first timepiece, a 35 mm stainless steel bracelet, is powered by a mechanical self-winding caliber RL300-1 Swiss-made movement with a power reserve of 42 hours.

The signature square case echoes the geometry of Art Deco architecture, while the lacquered dials, available in black with polished bracelet or white with brushed bracelet, juxtapose concentric squares with Arabic and Roman numerals and sleek Breguet-style hands.

The bracelet is integrated into the watch case, blending the sophisticated look of a cuff watch with the security of a three-part fold-over bracelet clasp.

Launched in 2008, the Ralph Lauren Watch and Jewelry Company, SARL, is a joint venture between Ralph Lauren and Richemont.
