Rado reveals serene white all-ceramic True Thinline

Lidewij Edelkoort is a renowned humanitarian, trend forecaster and educator who believes rampant consumerism is, or should be, on the wane.

“People are finally ready to change their behavior and break free from their shopping addiction,” Ms Edelkoort notes.

“The industry will respond to this, slimming down designs and producing responsible products that last. But that doesn’t mean we will stop making beautiful things – on the contrary. The focus will be on less and better, reduced and exceptional, sustainable and intuitive,” she predicts.

Rado has worked with the Dutch life and business coach to create a serene white version of its all ceramic True Thinline.

The 39mm watch houses a Rado calibre 420, Swiss-made, quartz movement.

Telling the time becomes a deliberately contemplative moment with the Rado True Thinline Stillness, says Ms Edelkoort.

“Freeing ourselves from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives by extending awareness for a second, realising the majesty of a minute and grasping the empathy of an hour gives us something that can be enjoyed anew every day: a moment of stillness and meaningfulness,” she suggests.

The Rado True Thinline Stillness is on sale now for £1,820.
