Fine watch magazine QP has announced the launch of new concept event – ClubQP, which is set to debut in November.

The events, which are being delivered by the team behind QP magazine and SalonQP, will be held in some of London’s most luxurious boutiques and prestigious private members’ club venues.

The series will debut on Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th November, at Ten Trinity Square Club in the Four Seasons Hotel, Tower Bridge.

Taking place across two days in November, ClubQP opens with a VIP champagne reception evening on 27th November, followed by a full day showcasing over 20 watch brands.

The editors of QP will be hosting intimate talks with some of the world’s leading watch experts throughout the course of the day, including live presentations from renowned watchmakers.

There will be 1,250 high-net-worth consumers in attendance to experience, interact with and purchase watches.

Alun Williams, Hearst UK managing director men’s lifestyle, said: “ClubQP marries a celebration of the finest craftsmanship and traditions of the horological world, with an intimate retail-friendly environment.

“Hearst is in the unique position of having a portfolio of HNW individuals who have shown a strong desire to attend an exclusive VIP watch events.

“We’ve taken their feedback on board to create a bespoke series, in opulent London settings, to allow hands-on access to watches alongside conversations with fellow collectors and watchmakers. We’re very excited to launch ClubQP this November, with more events to follow next year.”

  1. I love Salon QP. It’s the best watch exhibition in the UK.
However I think you could and should try to feature the best working watch makers more than you do.
I would certainly agree that you paid much attention to the great George Daniels and I’m so glad that Roger Smith is ever present. The story of the emergence of the working relationship between Roger and George would make a great movie in itself though perhaps the memories should be allowed to mature a little!
I would like to see more crafts people present; people with grubbier hands than we see at the moment!
However I’m more than aware that most watch collectors are people who do appreciate what they’re looking at and are a vital ingredient of those who visit Salon QP. every year.

I’m trying to build a marine chronometer from scratch. So far it has been troublesome!
