Q4 turnover up 34% for optimistic Peers Hardy

UK distributor Peers Hardy has reported an upbeat Q4 2012, with turnover increasing 34% year-on-year and orders totalling £14 million.

The Birmingham-based company, which distributes fashion and licensed brands including Ice-Watch, Radley, Boccia, Kahuna and Moshi Monsters, said the figure was "a remarkable result given the state of the trading climate".

Peers Hardy said the launch of Radley watches in late 2011 had proved an immediate triumph.

Paul Harry, director at Peers Hardy, said: "Radley’s continued success coupled with a £1 million heavyweight marketing campaign for Ice-Watch, as well as healthy Christmas sales for other Peers Hardy brands, accounted for this significant growth in 2012."

The distributor’s Q4 orders coincided with the move of Peers Hardy’s head office and warehouse to a new state-of-the-art building. The company said that with service levels and distribution back up to speed it is ready to break records in 2013.
