Prestons has officially opened its new Rolex Service Centre at its flagship showroom in Wilmslow, Cheshire.

Gerard Kerr, head of after-sales at Rolex UK and Prestons head watchmaker Steve Tilson cut the ribbon on the 55 square metre workshop where up to four Rolex accredited watchmakers will work alongside a professional case polisher.

The new Rolex Service Centre at Prestons Wilmslow is one of few of its size throughout the United Kingdom and showcases a considerable investment in contemporary market-leading equipment and tooling.

With this, Prestons has been trusted to uphold the reputation and uncompromising commitment to quality of the Rolex brand.

In attaining the prestigious Rolex Authorised Service Centre status, Prestons are officially certified to issue the 2-year Rolex International Service Guarantee, on all of their in-house service work.

It celebrates the start of a new journey between Rolex and Prestons, in perpetuating the level of excellence in the service offered to their clients, the company says.

“Rolex are proud to welcome Prestons After-Sales department to our extensive network of Official Service Centres, selected for their uncompromising professionalism and expertise. Their new After-Sales workshop stands as an example of the highest technical achievement and commitment in perpetuating the level of excellence in service offered to their clients,” says Gerard Kerr, head of after-sales at Rolex.

Watchmakers wanted

As part of the expansion, Prestons is recruiting for two skilled watchmakers and a technician to work at the Service Centre.

Experience servicing Rolex watches is preferred but not essential as full training will be given but you must have worked with a Luxury Swiss watch brand.

You will be responsible for the traditional servicing of modern and classic Rolex calibres, trouble shooting mechanical problems and carrying out technical procedures including escapement adjustments.
