Porsche Design is following in the footsteps of its automotive parent company by encouraging customers to customise their own timepiece using an online configurator that allows us to 1.5 million different looks.
“No other car manufacturer or watch brand currently offers a programme of this kind. The colours, types of leather and decorative stitching on these chronographs all originate from automotive production,” adds Jan Becker, CEO of Porsche Design Group.
The pitch is for customers to match their watch to their Porsche car. The right leather strap could complement the seats, the case and bezel could use the same colours as a paint job. Even the watch’s movement is designed to look like custom hub caps.
All colours, types of leather and decorative stitching on the customised watches originate from the Porsche automotive production.
The base watch is a 42mm COSC-certified chronograph housing a WERK 01.100 movement.
